Welcome to Llanrhaeadr-yng-Nghinmeirch’s Community Council website

The council catchment consist of a rural area which includes the villages of Llanrhaeadr, Saron and Prion. We are an elected body of 10 councillors from all walks of life who work tirelessly and voluntarily for the good and betterment of the people we represent. We meet every month on the last Monday of each month at 7:30 (except August and December) at either Ysgol Bro Cinmeirch or Ysgol Pant Pastynog. We have an elected chairman and vice chairman and a clerk who deals with all our correspondence. Our local county councillor is also present at our meetings. We discuss many things from roads, footpaths, buildings, to giving views and comments on planning applications before they are sent before the full county council. Occasionally, we are visited by our local Community Policeman or our local M.P. Every spring we set a precept and we also contribute towards the upkeep of the Pavilion and playing fields and the children’s play area, as well as giving the local school a contribution. Members of the public are welcomed to come and attend our meetings.
